About Gabbie Richards
I’m a lifelong North Tonawanda resident, small business owner, and dedicated community advocate. As President of the Oliver Street Merchants Association and a board member of Project Pride, I’ve worked to support local businesses, secure funding for revitalization, and beautify our city. My passion for public service led me to serve six years on the North Tonawanda School Board, where I focused on responsible budgeting, student well-being, and long-term planning.
Beyond my professional roles, I’m a mother, a problem-solver, and someone who believes in the power of community. Whether it’s restoring historic buildings, improving public spaces, or bringing people together, I’m committed to making North Tonawanda a place where families and businesses can thrive.
My priorities include strengthening our local economy, ensuring responsible financial management, improving public transportation and infrastructure, and fostering a more connected, vibrant community. I believe that good governance means listening, collaborating, and taking action to improve the lives of all residents.
My roots are here, my heart is here, and I’m ready to bring my experience and leadership to the City Council to help shape our city’s future.

Family-Focused & Rooted in NT
My husband and I are proud to be raising our son, Philip, right here in North Tonawanda. At five years old, he keeps us on our toes with his love for monster trucks, construction vehicles, and his boundless energy!

Experienced Community Leader & Advocate
With six years on the North Tonawanda School Board and active roles in city revitalization efforts, I have a proven track record of strategic decision-making, financial oversight, and community-driven leadership.

Dedicated to Economic Growth & Revitalization
I have invested in North Tonawanda’s future by renovating two historically underutilized buildings, bringing new life to spaces that had been neglected for years. One of these buildings now houses my small business, creating jobs and attracting visitors to our community.
